Terry Pratchett

Sir Terry Pratchett (1948 – 2015) bol britský spisovateľ a tvorca kultovej Séria Úžasná Plochozem, ktorá zahŕňa 41 kníh plných satiry a humoru. Debutoval v roku 1971 románom Koberčania Koberčania, no svetový úspech mu priniesla práve Séria Úžasná Plochozem, začínajúca knihou Farba mágie (1983). V roku 2002 získal Carnegieho medailu a v roku 2009 bol povýšený do rytierskeho stavu. Napriek diagnóze Alzheimerovej choroby v roku 2007 písal až do konca – jeho posledný román The Shepherd’s Crown vyšiel posmrtne v roku 2015. Ostáva jedným z najobľúbenejších fantasy autorov všetkých čias.
