The Student's Guide to the Gospels

This work serves as an introductory text on the Gospels. The first three chapters discuss the literal, structural, and rhetorical principles underlying the Synoptic Gospels. Chapters 4,5, and 7 explain the structure and theology of each Synoptic Gospel. Chapters 6,8,9, and 10 concern the four outstanding features of a Gospel, namely, parables, miracles, the passion narratives, and the resurrection accounts. Chapter 11 discusses the special features of the Fourth Gospel.
